WHAT HAPPENED?
The ex-Real Madrid youth player spent five seasons at Atletico before leaving them as a free agent at the end of the 2023/24 season. Now Fabrizio Romano reports that the Red Devils are considering approaching the 29-year-old and could sign him for free ahead of the upcoming 2024/25 campaign.

Romano, however, adds that United's priority remains to secure the signature of Bayern Munich right-back Noussair Mazraoui as they are all set to part ways with Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who is on his way to join West Ham. Sky Sports reported on Friday that the Premier League club are expected to seal a move for the Moroccan by the end of August.
