WHAT HAPPENED?
The World Cup winner inherited No.9 at Santiago Bernabeu when becoming another ‘Galactico’ in the Spanish capital during the summer of 2024. He took that jersey from fellow Frenchman Karim Benzema – who had departed Madrid a year earlier.
